SaaS Delivery Offers Predictable Costs, Flexible Growth, Accelerated ROI
ALPHARETTA, GA. — Jan. 13, 2016 — Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of next-generation hospitality software solutions and services, today announced that Magnolia Bluffs Casino, in Natchez, Miss., has selected the Lodging Management System (LMS®) property management solution to streamline operating efficiency and enhance guest service at its newly renovated hotel, which is expected to open in early 2016.
Casino Holding Investment Partners, parent company of Magnolia Bluffs, recently purchased the Isle of Capri hotel, which will be modernized and rebranded as Magnolia Bluffs Hotel. As part of the renovation, the executive team wanted state-of-the-art technology that would enable the property to optimize efficiency and provide exceptional guest service. After reviewing a number of property management systems, they selected Agilysys' award-winning LMS to streamline operations and maximize guest wallet share. As a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, LMS will help ensure predictable costs, flexible growth and an accelerated return on investment.
"We really did our homework when shopping for a new property management system, and LMS was the clear winner," said Debbie Saulter, chief financial officer at Magnolia Bluffs. "LMS is a longtime favorite of the gaming industry, and its availability as a hosted solution makes it particularly appealing. We can eliminate some of the staffing costs associated with traditional PMS deployment while getting advanced functionality faster than ever. We can also leverage the knowledge of Agilysys staff to reduce our in-house IT burden. Throughout this process, Agilysys has been our technology partner, providing outstanding service in a short time frame. We are eager to open our new hotel and are confident that LMS will help us streamline operations, maximize revenue potential and provide outstanding guest service."
Recognized as a 'Champion' in Info-Tech Research Group's 2015 PMS Vendor Landscape report, LMS automates every aspect of hotel operations, including reservations and credit card processing, accounting and housekeeping, sales and catering, activities scheduling, food and beverage sales, online reservations, remote check-in, spa scheduling and more. Leading global gaming properties rely on LMS's flexibility and ease of use to increase productivity, maximize revenue per guest and ensure repeat business.
LMS was recently enhanced to offer a SaaS delivery option in addition to traditional on-site deployment. SaaS deployments help customers accelerate return on investment, realize more predictable IT costs, reduce security and compliance risk, and provide for flexible growth in usage and access to new features. In addition, the latest version of LMS features integration with rGuest® Analyze, the Agilysys business intelligence solution that highlights revenue opportunities, optimizes business process and provides insight into operational efficiency.
"We are excited to welcome Magnolia Bluffs as a new LMS customer," said Jim Walker, vice president of sales and marketing at Agilysys. "LMS has always set a high standard, with unparalleled reliability and a wide range of features and functionality. Now, with SaaS delivery, our industry-leading property management system continues to transform the hotel technology landscape with an easy-to-deploy solution that enables customers to lower costs, reduce overhead, tighten security and focus attention on creating lasting and meaningful connections with guests."
Located on the Mississippi River in historic Natchez, Magnolia Bluffs Casino features 45,000 square feet of gaming space, three restaurants, bar and large deck area. The property's hotel, which is currently undergoing renovations and is expected to open in early 2016, features 146 guest rooms, fitness center, pool and meeting space.
