Calgary, Alberta – June 1, 2021 – GuestTek Interactive Entertainment Ltd., the global leader in providing premier hospitality technology and support solutions, is pleased to announce that Matthew Baio has been appointed to the role of Vice President of Sales, Americas.
Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Matthew has spent over 28 years with Marriott International, where he held a variety of roles. Starting his career as a night auditor in 1992, Matthew worked his way through technical, managerial and leadership challenges on his career path to becoming a member of the Marriott executive team. His most recent role was Vice President Information Technology – Americas where he was responsible for overall IT management: supporting 360+ hotels across the US, managing a team of 150+ employees, and relationship management for key partner accounts. The creation of new business models including sales and marketing programs for managed network services, the development of the Technology Sales and Event Delivery program, and relaunch of the Market Services discipline are a few notable accomplishments.
Matthew is well-respected by his colleagues for his strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and broad industry knowledge. Widely known for team building, mentorship and leading with compassion and humor, he has been recognized with various awards, including a Peer Leadership Award and twice with a Values in Practice Award.
