June 17, 2015 – Portsmouth, NH – Newmarket® International, Inc. (“Newmarket”), an Amadeus company, today announced a partnership with Savioke Inc., the creator of autonomous robot helpers for the services industry, to bring the future of guest service to hospitality.
Combining the capability of HotSOS, an enterprise hotel service optimization solution from Newmarket that automates and tracks preventive maintenance, service orders, and guest requests, with the robotic technology from Savioke, the partnership facilitates the deployment of service robots in human environments – the places people live and work.
Currently, Savioke offers a mobile delivery robot for the hospitality industry. It can autonomously navigate through a hotel to deliver items to any room. The HotSOS and Savioke integration will create a scenario of when a guest makes an amenity request, HotSOS creates a service order and the service order is automatically sent to an appropriate hotel staff member. The staff member places the amenity into a Savioke robot, known as Relay, and it delivers to the guest’s room.
The Savioke Relay robot recently appeared at NICC 2105, the Newmarket annual customer conference, where the friendly and easy to program robot excited and delighted conference attendees about the future potential for robotics in hospitality.
