AUSTIN, TX – August 31, 2021 – Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa, a luxury retreat in Austin’s Hill Country, is delighted to announce the appointment of Hasan Bas as the Director of Food & Beverage. In his role, Bas is responsible for the overarching food and beverage operations of the resort’s seven dining venues including Blind Salamander Kitchen & Bar, Bob’s Steak & Chop House, Crenshaw’s Bar & Eatery, Jim Bob’s Lobby Lounge, Nopales, Texas Spice, and Canyons Grill in addition to the Resorts’ overall Culinary and Banquets operations. With vast expertise in hospitality management, Bas will assure the resort’s dining programs continue to provide exceptional service and detail.

Hasan Bas comes to Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa with over 15 years of progressive hospitality leadership experience. Prior to joining Omni Barton Creek Resort, Bas held the Director of Food and Beverage title at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa. He also held positions at iconic properties including Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, Trump National Doral-Miami, and Casa Monica Resort and Spa.

Driving exceptional balanced score card results, Hasan received various awards and recognitions, including the Leader of the Year –Marriott International, SABRE Restaurateur of the year nominee – Marriott Global Discipline Award, and Outstanding Food and Beverage Leader of the year nominee – Annual Hospitality Leadership Award by The Greater Miami & The Beaches Hotel Association.

Hasan graduated from Cukurova University in Adana, Turkey with a bachelor’s degree in English Language Teaching. His passion for hospitality propelled Hasan to complete the Hospitality Management and Cultural Exchange program with American Hospitality Academy, and following, complete the Management Development and Readiness program with Marriott International. In his spare time, Hasan enjoys cooking for his growing family and exploring Austin’s culinary scene.
