TODOS SANTOS, MX (May 24, 2018) – Rancho Pescadero, set amidst the natural beauty of organic farms, empty beaches and the Pacific surf, will temporarily close its doors July 1 to embark on property-wide enhancements. Maintaining its hidden-gem charm and continuing a sustainable design, Rancho Pescadero will reopen with 95 guest rooms and suites in December 2019 timed for its 10-year anniversary.
The design will continue to embrace the authentic beauty of Baja and connect guests to its stunning 30 acres of beach and farmland. Upon completion, Rancho Pescadero will debut an oceanfront restaurant and lagoon pool, a new 20,000 sq. ft. Spa and apothecary, plus 12 oceanfront villas with private plunge pools.
Wellness will still be a core part of the programming. Two fitness and movement studios are planned for Yoga, Pilates and Barre, along with a new indoor/outdoor gym, lap pool, Pickle ball courts and expanded walking and running trails. Several roving juice bars featuring freshly pressed juices will be offered daily with ingredients found from the property’s citrus orchard and organic farm.
“Keeping the genuine, refreshing Rancho Way is our highest priority throughout the re-design,” said owner Lisa Harper, who first fell in love with the under-the-radar Playa when it was dotted with surf shacks. “The Baja landscape, new desert botanical gardens and organic farms will be woven throughout to enhance our garden-to-sea vibe with laid-back luxury. Connecting remains at our core, with your senses, your partner, with the planet and with you.”
The new Spa will be designed with lush gardens and water features unfolding into the entrance. With 12 treatment nests, an array of botanically oriented and customized treatments will reinvigorate the mind and body. It will also include a meditation area, various water treatments and a salon.
Design details are still under wraps, but the au natural color palette will favor hues of blue, sandy white and terracotta. “The overall feel is authentic Mexican celebrating Baja’s native look and feel,” said Harper of the design. “There will be a sense of discovery that keeps true to our surroundings.”
