Olympic Valley, California (June 9, 2022) – Resort at Squaw Creek, a spacious mountain resort in North Lake Tahoe, announces Melissa Ratkovits as its new director of spa.

In her new position, Ratkovits is responsible for managing operations of the Spa at Squaw Creek, business development, curating the spa experiences, and providing support and guidance to the team of spa colleagues.
With 22 years of experience working in the spa and hospitality industry, Ratkovits has managed spa teams across the country. She’s held director and manager positions at hotels and resorts including her most recent position at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, as well as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, and the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Epicurean Hotel both located in Tampa.
“My goal at Resort at Squaw Creek is to bring awareness to the premier destination spa experience available right here at our Alpine retreat. Since the Lake Tahoe area is such an incredible year-round getaway, from the unmatched winter ski opportunities to the summer activities on the lake, I also look forward to curating our offerings to provide customized wellness experiences per season,” said Ratkovits.
The Spa at Squaw Creek offers signature treatments reflective of the resort’s Alpine location. Services include the High-Altitude Adjustment Massage designed to help travelers adjust to the mountain setting, the Tahoe Warm Stone Massage, a Mountain Sports Massage designed to help soothe sore muscles after a day of adventure, and “A Walk in the Woods” facial that utilizes Gua Shua techniques.
