The industry-leading Central Reservations System underwent many enhancements and feature releases in 2014 to better serve hotels and their guests.
With the release of TopSail™, the responsive Internet Booking Engine from SHR, the first real shopping cart experience was available to guests when booking single hotel stays and multiple stay itineraries. TopSail™ also revolutionized the mobile experience with features such as Call to Continue™ and Save for Later that made conversion even easier for the mobile user.
The team at SHR worked diligently to release new features and enhancements that hotels need in a CRS- including updates to the rates & packages sections, better data display within the system, and flexible group functionality. SHR fully understands that hotels use many different systems to help their property run smoothly and meet revenue goals, so powerful integrations with these third party systems are a top priority. In 2014, WindsurferCRS added integrations with Flip.to, Nor1, Reevoo, and Duetto, and enhanced interfaces with IDeaS and several property management systems including Micros OXI, MSI’s CloudPM, and PAR Springer-Miller’s ATRIO.
The distribution landscape is ever expanding, so integrations with external booking channels are always a focus at SHR. The team is continuously adding new direct connections to WindsurferCRS, which allows the best and most cost-effective connection to major Online Travel Agencies (OTAs). WindsurferCRS also offers distribution to all major meta-search sites available today, and hotels can further their distribution with the Windsurfer Channel Manager that allows properties to connect to hundreds of smaller OTAs all over the world.
