Co-owner of Make It Nice, Will Guidara ’01, to speak on new trends in the area of guest experience

Ithaca, NY, Jan. 2018 – The 93rd Annual Hotel Ezra Cornell will once again return to the campus of Cornell University on March 15-18, 2018, to be held at the Statler Hotel in Ithaca, NY. The theme for this year’s conference, “A Sense of Place”, explores the rise of the experience era in hospitality through a variety of panels, workshops and specialized events.

A 93-year-old tradition of the School of Hotel Administration, Hotel Ezra Cornell is one of the most beloved events at Cornell University and an unparalleled introduction to the renowned alumni, faculty and students of one of the most prestigious hospitality programs in the world. Featuring some of the most talented business professionals and entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry, conference speakers will discuss the industry’s latest developments, trends and news. The program includes networking events for attendees to meet other professionals as well as faculty and students who may one day lead the industry.

This year, HEC will delve into the changing landscape of guest expectations. In a time of ever-advancing technology and increased emphasis on hospitality experiences, achieving competitive advantage means not only delivering quality service but also unique, memorable moments. This year’s program will explore the shift from an age of information to an era of experience by finding what connects guests to the strong identity, character, and authenticity of a place.

Leading this conversation as keynote speaker is Mr. Will Guidara ’01, the Co-owner of Make It Nice, a hospitality group which owns and operates Eleven Madison Park, The NoMad restaurants in New York City, and Made Nice. Attendees of this year’s conference will hear how an increased focus on unique experiences has shaped and revolutionized the hospitality industry thus far, and will continue to do so in the years to come.
