Huntsville, Ala., Sept. 6, 2022—106 Jefferson, a lifestyle hotel in Huntsville, Alabama, and Valor Hospitality Partners announced today the appointment of Jarrod Himes as executive chef to lead the property’s dining concepts and culinary team. Chef Himes will spearhead all culinary operations at the 115-room property, overseeing Revivalist and Baker & Able, the property’s two on-site food and beverage options. Located in the heart of downtown, 106 Jefferson invites guests from near and far to experience true southern hospitality through a welcoming guest experience, design nods to the city’s space roots, and an on-site restaurant that serves modern cuisine with a home-cooked flair.
With over 20 years of culinary experience, Chef Himes will play a pivotal role in the culinary operations while working with his team to ensure the highest-quality guest service. His focus will be on developing creative menus to combine fresh ingredients, inventive techniques and southern flavor. Previously, he has provided culinary expertise in locations such as Washington D.C., Miami, San Francisco, Virginia Beach, Los Angeles and Puerto Rico.

Chef Himes has created a five-course progressive dinner on Friday, September 23 to truly elevate the culinary experience of Huntsville Crush Wine and Food Festival attendees. The first course will be served in the hotel’s Century Ballroom followed by three courses in on-site restaurant Revivalist with the final dessert course served in 106 Jefferson’s rooftop lounge Baker & Able.
