(February 23, 2016) – Jardenea at Melrose Georgetown Hotel, the farm-to-fork restaurant within the art-deco inspired boutique hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, is pleased to welcome Nelson Erazo as the new executive chef. Bringing years of epicurean experience and dynamic culinary talent, Erazo will oversee all food and beverage for the Georgetown hotel and restaurant as well as catering for banquets and events and in-room dining concept, Sensory Direct.

Prior to joining Melrose Georgetown Hotel, Erazo served as the executive chef of Silversmith Hotel in Chicago, Ill. where he oversaw all aspects of the culinary experience, including the launch of the hotel’s new vibrant restaurant and lounge, Adamus, in spring 2014. His resume also includes tenures at Azurea, the signature restaurant at One Ocean Resort & Spa in Atlantic Beach, Fla., and Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. While earning his associate degree in applied science in culinary arts as well as a bachelor’s degree in culinary management from the prestigious Johnson & Wales University, Erazo was selected to work abroad in the education program in Germany.
