FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: McLean, VA (July 15, 2024) – The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) is now accepting entries for 2024 Adrian Awards. The theme for the 68th annual Adrian Awards competition is Wish You Were Here, highlighting the most memorable and successful travel marketing and public relations campaigns, ads, earned media programs, and experiential and digital experiences. Winners will be honored at the HSMAI Adrian Awards Celebration in 2025.

“We have seen a remarkable increase in entries, with submissions growing by 20% annually since 2020,” said Robert A. Gilbert, CHME, CHBA, president and CEO of HSMAI. “This surge in participation underscores the resilience and creativity of the travel marketing industry, and we are excited to see the innovative campaigns that will be submitted this year.”

Travel is about more than just reaching a destination; it is about the journey and the moments we collect along the way. From stunning pictures to cherished souvenirs, every experience and new memory adds to the story of a trip well taken. This year, the HSMAI Adrian Awards are about celebrating the moments that comprised your most creative and successful travel marketing campaigns.

The Adrian Awards include 50 entry categories in four divisions: Advertising, Digital, Public Relations/Communications and Integrated Campaigns. These include awards for digital creators, reputation management, affiliate marketing, broadcast integration, and more.

Incorporated last year, a Best of Category Award will be given in each entry category for small, medium and large budget campaigns, as well as Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. Each Gold Award recipient will be considered for Platinum awards, and Platinum’s will be considered for Best of Show in the Advertising, PR/Communications, Integration Campaigns, and Digital divisions.

Adrian Award entries can be submitted from July 15 through Sept. 9, 2024. All entries must be submitted online. Visit adrianawards.hsmai.org for entry and nomination information. Nominations are also being accepted for the Career Achievement Awards in marketing and public relations and for the 2024 class of HSMAI Top 25 Extraordinary Minds in sales, marketing, revenue optimization and distribution.

Entries are evaluated in five equally weighted categories and scored based on a graduated point system and judged by the Adrian Awards Steering Committee. Approximately 200 industry experts, including advertising, public relations, communications, media, and digital professionals, as well as leading members of the travel community, serve as judges. Each entry is scored by at least three judges independently, based on its own merit and success in achieving its objectives as outlined in the entry’s Statement of Communication. Scores are then averaged, and the final scores are computed electronically and reviewed by HSMAI officials. For more information or to apply, please visit HSMAI Adrian Awards Judging.
