BETHESDA, Md., May 3, 2023 – Che’ McKissic, corporate beverage director of Donohoe Hospitality Services (DHS), a division of Donohoe, today named Angela Bethea executive chef at RowHouse restaurant and Perch SW, the rooftop bar & lounge that sits atop the Cambria Hotel Washington, D.C. Capitol Riverfront. In her new role, Bethea will oversee, implement and regularly update the food & beverage program for the select-service hotel located within walking distance of Nationals Park, home of the Washington, D.C. Major League Baseball team.
“Chef Bethea’s extensive culinary background will enhance the experienced team already in place at RowHouse and Perch SW,” McKissic said. “She brilliantly combines the different flavors of Mexican and Southern Soul to create innovative and flavorful dishes that will elevate Perch’s menu. Bethea most recently served as executive chef at Smoke & Mirrors, a rooftop bar and restaurant atop the AC Hotel in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, she held multiple culinary positions within the hospitality industry, including executive sous chef at the Four Seasons Baltimore, as well as sous chef at the Thompson Hotel and restaurant chef at the Nest, both in Seattle. Working through the pandemic, Bethea built new concepts while addressing the constantly changing restrictions that best supported guest needs. With a culinary arts degree from the Seattle Culinary Academy, she also is a member of both the Quillisascut Chefs of Color and Women Chefs and Restauranteurs.
