The two appointments are set to elevate and take the Estate’s culinary and beverage experience to the next level.

Chef Luca Armellino is originally from Cagliari, Italy and brings a wealth of international culinary experience to Liss Ard Estate, weaving a global tapestry of flavors and techniques into the property’s culinary narrative. His transformative journey, from the kitchens of Rome to the groundbreaking Noma in Copenhagen and the philosophically rich collaboration with Chef Norbert Niederkofler at St. Hubertus in San Cassiano, and with Chef Thomas Keller’s kitchen at PerSe in New York City, all shaped his commitment to ethics, respect for raw materials, and a dedication to minimizing waste. In his new role, Armellino brings a profound respect for seasonality, biological timing of animals and vegetables, and the art of crafting dishes that harmonize with nature – principles that will resonate in every culinary masterpiece served at Liss Ard Estate.

Josinho Mera, a certified Sommelier by INGAVI, has imprinted an indelible mark in the world of mixology. Previously, Mera served as Head Bartender at Café Concierto Retablo in Santiago de Compostela, Spain and Manager at Discoteca Shangoo in Alcala de Henares, Spain. Mera refined his expertise during his tenure at Pernod Ricard, where he became a prominent figure in the industry, partnering with renowned labels. Now, as Director of Food & Beverage at Liss Ard Estate, Mera aims to lead a team toward service excellence, emphasizing product quality and team professionalism.
