SAVANNAH, GA. – The Kessler Collection’s Plant Riverside District – the largest development in the history of Savannah’s Historic District – is proud to announce Kyle Lipetzky as executive chef of the highly anticipated JW Marriott Savannah affiliate, leading into the Q4 2019 opening. Chef Lipetzky will be responsible for overseeing the largest culinary operation in Savannah. With 23-years of experience and a passion for fresh ingredients, he aims to work closely with the local community and further the growth of Savannah’s booming food scene.

Plant Riverside District is set to feature 12 food and beverage outlets, which include a fine dining steakhouse, brick oven pizzeria, an African inspired lounge, café and marketplace, individual barbeque and seafood pavilions, beer garden, and three rooftop bars. Chef Lipetzky will also be in charge of in-room dining for the hotel’s 419 guest rooms and banquets for 20,000 square feet of event and meeting space, creating and developing all menus and managing a team of 120 culinarians and stewards.

Managing large culinary operations is nothing new for Lipetzky, as he previously managed six food and beverage outlets and a team of 60 chefs as the executive chef of The Boulders Resort & Spa, part of Hilton’s Curio Collection in Scottsdale, Ariz. He also aided The Arizona Biltmore, a Waldorf Astoria Resort in Phoenix, Ariz. as the executive sous chef. Early in his career, Lipetzky set the foundation by gaining experience as chef de cuisine at The Phoenician Resort & Spa and JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa, both located in Scottsdale, Ariz. Lipetzky is looking forward to embracing the lowcountry culture and putting his spin on the traditional cuisine.
