North Texas Names Hospitality Innovator Visual Matrix as a Premier Employer

Dallas, December 7, 2023 – Visual Matrix, a leading provider of advanced technology solutions for the hospitality industry, was recognized by the Dallas Business Journal as one of the region’s “Best Places to Work.”

Visual Matrix was named No. 6 in the “Small Companies” category thanks to its 25-year history of serving the hospitality industry’s technology needs, attention to worker retention, and leadership’s involvement in the local community.

Now in its 21st year, the Best Places to Work Awards highlights the top employers across Dallas-Fort Worth and the broader North Texas region. The list consists of 100 businesses across the region and factors worker survey scores into five categories based on the size of the business: Micro (10 to 24 employees), Small (25-49 employees), Medium (50 to 249 employees), Large (250 to 499 employees), and Extra Large (500 or more employees).

“We’re honored to have received this award, recognizing our commitment to our people and the people of the hospitality industry, ” said Georgine Muntz, CEO of Visual Matrix. “While we are a technology developer, maintaining a hospitality mindset comes first. We aim to foster a culture of innovation and empathy to form long-term bonds among all our team members. In light of this, it is an honor to receive continued recognition from the Dallas Business Journal, its readers, and the Texas business community.”

About the Award

Visual Matrix was chosen thanks to its commitment to worker satisfaction. Since 2021, Visual Matrix has grown its North Texas workforce by 22 percent and bolstered its employee net promoter score – reflecting its internal practices supporting employee engagement and loyalty – from -29 to 74 in 2023. Additionally, the company’s employee engagement figures increased from 52 percent to 91 percent over the same period while maintaining less than 4 percent unfavorable turnover since 2021. This amazing teamwork and progress was coupled with significant growth in 2023, and the company anticipates continued growth in 2024 and beyond.

Visual Matrix supports its workforce by providing full salaried parental leave for 12 weeks and total coverage of the cost of multiple mental and physical health initiatives. Furthermore, Visual Matrix supports remote work in totality and has an open paid time off policy without forcing its workers to manage a “bank” of time away from the office.

Visual Matrix joined other winning companies at a luncheon hosted in October at the Statler Dallas, Curio Collection by Hilton as part of the honor.
